“Where do I start? Christina is amazing. I began flute lessons with her at the beginning of freshman year of high school. Little did I know exactly how much she'd impact me in the future. She's an amazing teacher and has taught me so much- everything from technique to tone to performance etiquette. I have learned confidence, self-discipline, determination, good musicianship and many other qualities that make me a better person overall, thanks to Christina. Not only does she teach lessons, but she strongly pushes the involvement in other ensembles and opportunities such as youth orchestras, national and local contests and the best of all, the studio flute ensemble. She is constantly organizing recitals, ensemble concerts and events like masterclasses with esteemed professors and teachers and always seems to put her students' growth first. A brilliant teacher, Christina encourages bonding and is extremely supportive of her students, as well as a wonderful confidant even outside of the studio. I 100% recommend her to any aspiring flutist or woodwind in the area.”
“We are very fortunate to have Christina mentor our daughter. What's special about Christina is that it's not just about the flute or music. Christina has very high expectations for her students and she cares not only to improve our daughters musical gifts and talents but she cares for her well being now and in the future. Christina has been instrumental is developing Jenna\'s musical talent with her flute and also her confidence, her health, attitude, and her grades while also preparing her for college. The difference she has made in our daughters life has been profound and it\'s a life long difference. We are very blessed to have Christina.”
“I cannot say enough about the amazing attributes of Christina Condon and her flute studio. My daughter's skills and confidence have soared since she began working with Christina. Ms. Condon has a wonderful rapport with her students and encourages them to continue to grow, learn, and strive to do their very best to advance to the next level. She is extremely knowledgeable and talented and provides a large range of opportunities for students to play solo as well as in ensembles in front of audiences. She is highly respected by many music professors and educators throughout the country and her connections allow her to invite these other professionals to meet and work with her students throughout the year. When my daughter began working with Christina, she was absolutely terrified to play in front of anyone. She now plays confidently in front of audiences. She auditioned and was given a scholarship to study in the music program at a respectable university. The only drawback is that my daughter is sad about not being able to work with Christina anymore once she moves on to college! We are so blessed to have found Christina's studio at the time that we did!”
“The students of Christina Condon-Numerick's flute studio are truly impressive! The consistency of solid foundational skills shine forth within each student's performance, and the overall willingness and openness to explore and grow as a musician is ever present. Ms. Condon-Numerick provides an informed and varied studio schedule, which has allowed her students to thrive, not only within the studio, but across the state of Ohio and at a national level. Her students successes are a testament to the creative talents and dedication of this wonderful teacher!”
“My son started taking flute lessons with Christina about 8 months ago, the summer before his 6th grade year. Christina is a very patient teacher and explains things in a clear manner that kids can understand. The progress my son has made in 8 months with Christina has been amazing. He loves music and loves to find new songs to play on his own! If you want quality flute instruction for your child from a teacher who will truly care about your child's progress, you should go to Christina! You won't be disappointed!”
“Christina's output, expertise, and enthusiasm for teaching is obvious when I audition and admit her former students to Miami University's clarinet studio. She prepares musicians well and instills in them formidable work ethic.”
“My oldest daughter began studying clarinet with Christina in the summer before she started seventh grade. Two years later when she auditioned for the high school band she was placed in the school's Wind Symphony, the top band as an incoming freshman. Two years later my second daughter started clarinet lessons with Christina at the beginning of her freshman year. My daughter had a strong desire to participate in the high school marching band and I contacted Christina to ask her to take on the challenge of getting my daughter to the level of other students who had been playing for the past 3 years, in nine months. Through my daughter's motivation and Christina's dedication and encouragement my daughter was able to audition the following May and be accepted into the school's concert and marching band. By the end of my daughter's sophomore year so much progress had been made that my daughter has been placed in the Wind Symphony as well for this coming school year. We were very lucky to find Christina. She has high expectations for her students and goes out of her way to provide experiences and opportunities that I have not had with other tutors. I would happily recommend Christina to anyone who is seeking a quality musical experience for themselves or their child.”
“Christina has been teaching our children for 10 years. She has taught all three of our daughters, and instilled in them a love of music that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Christina started teaching our eldest daughter, Rebbeca ten years ago and gave her a base of fundamentals that has helped her develop into an accomplished young musician. Rebbeca will be studying Flute Performance at the University of Illinois this fall, on a music scholarship. Her success is owed in large degree to Christina's teaching and mentorship. She also taught our second daughter Caroline, and is now teaching our youngest daughter Margaret. The teaching Christina offers her students has few equals, and my wife Dena and I are eternally grateful for what she has done for our children. She blends modern tools and ideas with sound classical principles and solid technique. The results are young musicians who not only play correct notes, but with great tone and emotional impact. She has offered our children not only lessons, but master classes with visiting artists….studio classes with their peers…convention trips…seminars…and the chance to compete with other artists from around the country. Few private teachers have this level of commitment. I am proud to say that Christina is not only a teacher to our children, but a close friend to our family.”
“I began clarinet in 6th grade without much of an affinity for music; I joined band because my friends had joined. Now, 11 years later, I find myself living abroad in Austria having just performed a Christmas concert with the local Stadtkapelle. My journey to this point was profoundly impacted by beginning clarinet lessons with Christina. My high school and college achievements were only possible with Christina's influence. I credit her with developing not only my musicianship, but also my work ethic in most things. I began lessons with Christina in 9th grade and consequently flourished as a new musician. For example, she pushed me to take on a class A solo at OMEA competition and made me realize that I was capable of so much more than I'd imagined in music. Christina also encouraged me to attend the annual Clarinet Symposium at Ohio University and I eventually even played a master class at the event. Christina pushed me to audition for honor bands, which broadened my musical experiences and I gained first chair in school concert band. She influenced me to work harder in academics by taking more AP classes, which in turn helped me complete 3 majors in 4 years at Miami University, one of which was music! Christina has been an irreplaceable mentor to me and I cannot thank her enough!”
“My son met Christina during the summer prior to his junior year in high school. She was assisting the marching band and my son received the benefit of her instruction. He was very impressed and soon after Christina became his private flute instructor. Within a very short amount of time with Christina, my son's quality of playing improved dramatically. He learned a great deal from her. I would say with 100% assurance that because of Christina my son learned how to love and value music at a level he never would have if he didn't have her as a teacher. She goes above and beyond simple teaching. She provided him with an extensive list of playing opportunities outside of school events as well as introducing him to other professionals to improve his playing. She demanded a lot from my son, but he responded positively to the challenge. My son will be majoring in flute performance in the fall and we owe a great deal of our son's ability to perform at that level to Christina.”
“I have been taking lessons with Christina Condon for a little more than two years. I have developed a more disciplined approach in becoming a better musician. Christina Condon encourages her students to get involved with the playing of their instrument. She has monthly studio classes, creates ensembles, hosts recitals, and gives information about conventions, tryouts for other bands and competitions. Having all of these opportunities has strengthened me as a performer and flute player.”
“I am very pleased with the progress my daughter has made in the two years she has taken flute lessons. Christina encourages and challenges her students to reach beyond their individual goals. She has a genuine concern for the success of her students.”
“Christina has motivated my daughter to improve on her flute skills. Christina is demanding, but the results were amazing. She offers more than just her time for lessons (studio classes, performances at nursing homes and churches, recitals, etc.) Christina demands a lot from her students, but she also gives a lot back. If your child is willing to put in the time, he/she will find success in his/her musical accomplishments.”
“I have been playing the flute for over 30 years. In that time I have studied with many well-respected teachers and I have to say that Christina Condon is among the finest. She quickly gets to the root of the issue offering many excellent techniques to address it from all angles. She keeps learning fun and engaging methods for her students and they quickly make great progress.”
“I am one of Christina's adult music students. As a child, I took piano, clarinet and saxophone lessons from five different teachers. All were talented musicians. But, Christina is the best – musician and gifted teacher. She listens very well – not only to the assigned music, providing helpful feedback and performance tips, but she also listens to my aspirations. And, she has been instrumental in keeping me on the quickest path to success. Her guidance for how to practice really works! My practice efficiency has improved – which increases my motivation for improvement. I give her five stars!”
